Name: Erik D. Olson on Jun 16, 2010Comments: This is some sick joke, piss on the Jones Act and get to work. This is the kind of stupid shit the GOP would pull, the environment and the citizens of the United States who depend on it come first, some stupid Union bullshit last. Our country is being held hostage by an Act that certainly cannot apply in this kind of disaster magnitude!Flag

Name: Suzanne E. Culpepper on Jun 16, 2010Comments: I think if we were to freeze all personal assests of the BP executives until they get up off their butts and start telling the truth and start thinking of others who would "like to have their lives & loved ones back rather than themselves we would see more action on their parts and just maybe this would not have become the worst natural disaster in US history. We have had the know how (thanks to Kevin Costner) of how to clean this mess up more effectively and quickly, but BP has refused to be a company of integrity and safety it seems now for quite sometime and have been putting their employees in unsafe work conditions. Furthermore, they have threaten the workers who would "take a timeout for safety" because they are more concerned and interested in the almighty dollar than in the safety of their employees and for that matter the Gulf Coast residents, the ecological effects that their lack of safety has impacted, and also how their irresponsible behavior has affected the oil drilling business in general. It probably will take weeks, months, and possibly years to fully understand the totality of the impact and the damage BP has caused our nation and the earth for that matter. THEY NEED TO BE HELD RESPONSIBLE TO THE FULLEST INTENT AND CHARGES FILLED AGAINST THE BP EXECUTIVES AS WELL AS WELL AS THE PREVIOUS EXEC'S & CEO'S WHO 'BIRTHED' THIS TYPE OF LEADERSHIP, LACK OF INTEGRITY & SAFETY, AND LACK OF RESPONSIBLE ETHICAL BEHAVIOR. Forget about politics for a change, waive the Jones act, and get ALL the possible help offered from ANY country. You're already two months late, so do it TODAY! The worst oil spill in our history, and the impact on our gulf residents deserves nothing less.Flag

He is DOING nothing and rubbing it our faces...he does not care what we think because AMNESTY is on the way and he will get the votes he needs... and that's the TRUTH!!! This president does not feel that he is failing and sleeps well at night... he does not like America and enjoys destroying it. If nobody else will say it, I will.Flag
