Save The Giggs Tour
It was announced this morning that London Rapper Giggs' U.K tour has been cancelled due to the police advising venues that it could be potentially dangerous. A Metropolitan police spokesperson said: "Police advised that there were concerns about potential risk to the event, if it took place."
If this is the case and there genuinely is potential danger then why can the venues not be selected ones only and work with the Police to put tighter security in place? What message are we sending to U.K artists when American rappers who are of the same genre and attract more violence than Giggs are allowed to tour the UK every year earning millions of pounds but our own UK star has been denied this right and we do not agree with the Met's decision.
Giggs responded by saying "I just want to thank the police for all this great promotion that they're giving me, all these cancellations and that is just making me more powerful." It has appeared that Giggs has been targeted by the police since he burst into the music scene resulting in him being banned from attending Lil Wayne's concert. We are therefore asking that you sign this petition to allow UK talent to florish in its own right by SAVING THE GIGGS TOUR.
