1 Cole WorleyIt is the sole responsibility of our elected representatives to carry out the will of the people. When necessary, it is the responsibility of the people to hold our representatives accountable when they do not.

5 AnonymousWhen I first moved here, Abilene was the "Big Country" then the "Key City" then the "Friendly Frontier" . All were good brand names for this community. I especially liked Friendly Frontier. I do not understand why there was a need for a new brand. The real problem though is the new brand: Frontiering. Seriously, its not even a real word. It is sophomoric at best and down right idiotic at worst. Frontiering is what I would expect a kindergardener to say, not an adult who should have a better command and understanding of the English language. Please, leave our brand as the Friendly Frontier, learn from this very expensive mistake, and stop trying to find a new brand. It takes awhile for a brand to stick and if you keep changing it, people will think Abilenians are addle brained.
6 Deadra Moodyyes i would have like to be able to choose a slogan i have lived her my whole life and i feel the current branding makes abilenians look stupid. Since frontiering is not a word

8 AnonymousI believe that our city council is corrupt and uses our tax dollars for there own personal gain. It is time that we vote in new city council members that are blue collar workers and not well to do hypocrites that have been running this town for years.

10 RichardWhy pay for a new "brand"? Why not let the citizens of Abilene decide what it should be? How about "Abilene, a city for everyone unless you like dragstrips and youth sports complexes".
11 Caron WalkerI believe the citizens of Abilene should have a say in not only the name but the absurd amount of tax payers money that will used towards a "brand" name for Abilene. It seems that this money could go towards thngs that are far more important than a brand name for Abilene.

18 John LambertThis was a complete waste of money and brain power. I suppose if the merchandise being sold that makes fun of it does well then Meals on Wheels will at least benefit.

44 AnonymousThere are better ways to spend our hard earned money than coming up with stupid names for the city that nobody pays attention too. A name does not bring in more vacationers attractions do find some attractions that will bring in vacationers in to Abilene instead of a new stupid name.
