Name: Anonymous on Nov 15, 2008Comments: When I first moved here, Abilene was the "Big Country" then the "Key City" then the "Friendly Frontier" . All were good brand names for this community. I especially liked Friendly Frontier. I do not understand why there was a need for a new brand. The real problem though is the new brand: Frontiering. Seriously, its not even a real word. It is sophomoric at best and down right idiotic at worst. Frontiering is what I would expect a kindergardener to say, not an adult who should have a better command and understanding of the English language. Please, leave our brand as the Friendly Frontier, learn from this very expensive mistake, and stop trying to find a new brand. It takes awhile for a brand to stick and if you keep changing it, people will think Abilenians are addle brained.Flag

Name: Caron Walker on Nov 15, 2008Comments: I believe the citizens of Abilene should have a say in not only the name but the absurd amount of tax payers money that will used towards a "brand" name for Abilene. It seems that this money could go towards thngs that are far more important than a brand name for Abilene.Flag

Name: Anonymous on Nov 17, 2008Comments: There are better ways to spend our hard earned money than coming up with stupid names for the city that nobody pays attention too. A name does not bring in more vacationers attractions do find some attractions that will bring in vacationers in to Abilene instead of a new stupid name.Flag
