Save the Flathead Basin in British Columbia, Canada

The petition

British Petroleum (BP) will be applying for a Coal Bed Methane (CBM) exploratory permit sometime within the next few months. In other words a stripmine or a great big ugly hole in the planet.

BP opened offices in both Fernie and Sparwood, in order to launch its public relations campaign in British Columbia, Canada.

The advserse impacts of CBM exploration on water quality, fisheries, wildlife and wildlife habitat in Montana will be signficant.

We need your help to stop any attempts to introduce CBM extraction activities in the Flathead. However, we will need the help of concerned citizens on both sides of the border to be effective.
