Name: Siall Waterbright on Jun 10, 2008Comments: The house at 24 Macgregor Terrace, Bardon, has always been a favourite landmark. When I passed it as a child with my family, my Mum or Dad would always point it out and we would exclaim over the charming sculptures and steep roof. Rather than widening the roads, the council and Queensland Government should think of lasting, efficient alternatives to private car use. Please don't destroy this Brisbane landmark.Flag

Name: Andrea Fox on Jun 11, 2008Comments: This is a very important house in the history of Brisbane. We've lost many significant architectural icons already, in these more enlightened times we really shouldn't risk losing another. History can never be replaced.Flag

Name: Jeff Cheyne on Jun 11, 2008Comments: The house at 24 Macgregor Tce, holds historical significance for Brisbane and all its people. It's loss would sever one of the last links to the memory of Cloudland and to the architect who had a hand in its design and who designed, built and lived for a time in the Fairy House.Flag

Name: Chris Lobsinger on Jun 11, 2008Comments: This home is one of the few real charter homes in the area left , If anything the BCC should provide some funding to help with to up kept the front of the propertvy and enhance its already interesting street presence. Perhaps an historical marker outside this home discribing it as well. Sincerely Chris and Ngaire LobsingerFlag

Name: Juanita Wheeler on Jun 14, 2008Comments: The Fairy House (known to me since my schooldays as the Music House) is a much beloved site within Bardon. When moving my family to a local street in recent years the first local walk we made was to take them to see this house. I am strongly opposed to any plan to destroy this local landmark which is such an important feature to the Bardon landscape, as well as holding important historial significance due to the Russian architect. I strongly believe that before such drastic action is even considered, significant action should be taken to improve the frequency and routes of public transport, including intergrated transport options to see what impact this can have on reducing congestion.Flag

Name: Rob Wheeler on Jun 14, 2008Comments: As a local, I prefer to sit in the traffic rather than lose a local Icon. Our state government should be promoting the use of public transport before changing the very face of Bardon and Paddington that gives the area its appeal.Flag
