James ColliePleae spare the Fairy House. Much too much of our Brissie heritage has already been sacrificed for the sake of "progress."
AnonymousThe 'Fairy House' is a local landmark and a unique home. It has an unusual history and must be preserved.
Charles ColmanI strongly disagree with the glorification of the car over more friendly forms of transport, especially walking and cycling. Preservation of a community landmark is far more important than smoothing the path for gas-guzzling 4-w-ds.

Vicki EnglundIn the past, Brisbane has lost a lot of its beautiful and unusual buildings, one of them being the much beloved Cloudland. The fact that the Fairy House was designed by the same architect who designed part of that complex means that the city can make up in part for that huge mistake by leaving this beautiful piece of architecture in place.

Tristan PeachInvest in public transport options to reduce the traffic on these roads - road building is not going to solve the problem and is causing the destruction of heritage places all across Brisbane.

Patricia WilliamsonThis is just toatally WRONG!!!
Emma McElroyHow far are we willing to to get to work 10 minutes earlier? Buses that actually come on time or show up at all may begin to help this issue. Lets stop looking for the quick fix & save our beautiful history.

Helen BrownLets not loose another dwelling just for the sake of motor vehicles
Archie MooreDon't knock down EVERY single interesting building and feature in Brisbane.. it really is looking like LEGO-LAND!!! How mundane!
melissa mccamleyIt's an outrage that this is even an option!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
GeorgeI'm 34 years old and have lived in inner Brisbane all my life. I like to breathe clean air and have never had troubles finding work within walking or riding distance. People who travel for work need to accept traffic congestion or explore smarter alternatives. Destroying Brisbane's valuables seems to be the easiest and most expensive option in more ways than one.

jennifer greenthis is complete vandalization of a truly unique part of Brisbane built heritage. IT MUST NOT be destroyed for the motor car....let them walk with apologies to Marie Antoinette ).

Teresa EyreSo many visitors to Brisbane find the city lacks character - no wonder, if the plan is to knock down unique buildings like the fairy house. Enlarging Macgregor Terrace just doesnt make sense and will not solve the problem of congestion in the area. Better public transport is the key.
Chris CorneyMaybe the problem could be better solved by improving the public transport system.
Daphne WallaceWidening this road won't solve the bottlenecking problem at this particular area.
kelly luckmansurely there's enough roads in that area already, how about improving the public t'port system and we won't need more roads.

Anonymousthis is my all time favourite house in brisbane - I have been driving past it for the last 20 odd years and every time i go past it brings a smile to my face - to destroy it would break my heart
Sam CliffordNo needless destruction of Brisbane's heritage!
Paige Philogene
Jane CarpenterI live on Coopers Camp Road and do no agree with the proposed options 2 and 3. Destruction of the Fairy House and removal of the beautiful trees on MacGregor should not take place, more strategic options (eg tunnels) need to be implemented to handle north/south traffic.
Robert MorisonThere are a couple of other houses that distinguish Bardon shopping centre and they will be affected by options 2 and 3 as well.
