Michelle MottauI am very upset at the possibility this beautiful property (and the others along MacGregor Tce) may be destroyed. We are planning to move back to Brisbane, likely this area...but will think twice if this is the solution to the region's traffic issues.

Mark Carey-SmithThis house is a cultural icon and must be preserved. Too much of Brisbane's heritage has been destroyed. In this case the destruction of the house is completely avoidable, as other, more viable options exist.

Elizabeth HallPlease don't demolish this wonderful piece of history. We have lost enough already.....
Ros QuivooyThis house is heritage listed, surely there is another solution. Or does heritage listing not mean anything to the government
Sandra De vaultI am sick of seeing heritage listed & Brisbane icons (including our beautiful old trees) being demolished without thorough consideration.
Jim ChapmanThis location is such a part of the ideosyncratic character of parts of Brisbane that keep it form being a monoculture of buildings and places. It is heritage listed for a reason. Please use other options rather than damaging our culture.

Alice HamiltonA BEAUTIFUL BUILDING LIKE THIS SHOULD BE PRESERVED AS PART OF BRISBANE'S RICH CULTURAL HISTORY
Pam KogerThis house is a unique part of Brisbane's heritage. Demolishing it would be just another example of what appears to be a campaign out there to make Brisbane bland.

Jason MayThis is a historic home, and all other avenues should be considered as an alternative to demolishing a heritage listed property.

AnonymousIt seems to be that in Brisbane a heritage listing is the same as a demolition order. I live on the Southside and even I know of this iconic building please save it

AnonymousBeing a heritage listed property correlates to DO NOT KNOCK DOWN!
Lisa NelsonBetter, more energy efficient public transport is the only viable option. Destruction of iconic landmarks and peoples homes to make space for petrol guzzling cars is outdated, unethical and short sighted.

gloria knowlesPlease save the fairyhouse - all my childred lived, and were primary school educated, in this unique area - it would sadden them considerably to see such destruction.

Katia CuretonI grew up in The Gap and although I no longer live in Brisbane ,I have friends living in the street and remember the Fairy House fondly .
Elizabeth LemonI remember the "Fairy House" from my childhood trips driving from Rosewood to the Sunshine coast. Now that I live in the area, this house promotes fond memorys. I find it unbelievable that a heritage listed building can be reclaimed by local council for developement. Just last week we lost an incredible building on Kangaroo Point. Lets not lose anymore of Brisbane's Character and sole.

Norrie SandersI use the Paddington roundabout at peak hour twice each door. It does not need to be removed and replaced with lights. There are already two lanes leading north from the roundabout, so resumption of any homes - including the fairy house - should not be necessary.
AnonymousI would be very sad if the Fairy House was lost - it gives great pleasure to the people who live and pass through Bardon.

Julie HiltonBrisbane has lost so much of its heritage that there isn't much left. The government needs to start protecting our heritage sites and looking at alternatives in terms of moving traffic. Improved public transport and cycling lanes would be a good start.
