Name: Richard W Thompson on Jun 28, 2007Comments: Nothing but the best will do. Defense of the nation is the first order of business, and presuming to economize that effort weakens the nation. Threat levels are dynamic, what is status quo today will change tomorrow. Further, the derivative benefits in jobs, educational opportunities, and technology are numerous. We cannot afford to be second best at anything. Do not prepare to fight the last war, or the current war, presume the worst in preparing for the enxt war. The savings in blood alone are worth it.Flag

Name: Matt Lyon on Jul 2, 2007Comments: It is a shame that the USAF is buying so few of these excellent aircraft. Congress, for the sake of the defense of America, please allow the purchase of more F-22s. As a taxpayer myself, I think it is worth the extra cost.Flag

Name: Anonymous on Jul 31, 2007Comments: add a tax on every americian to be used only for more F-22 raptors or a box where we can give money just for the purchase of more F-22 Raptors and you will be surprised how much money will roll in. We need at least the 381 the usaf said we neededFlag

Name: David Post on Aug 23, 2007Comments: I believe that the US needs to take seriously the growing military power of China and do something to keep up to secure the freedom that this country has had for so long. This also includes the freedom for the rest of the world. We had better take this seriously before there is a "Showdown" because with China's rapidly growing military power and the US's seemingly weakened power, we could be in for a BIG surprise. Let's hope not for our sake and the rest of the world's sake.Flag

Name: Emmett Jones on Aug 29, 2007Comments: The F-22 is in production now and is much better thatn the JSF which is not going to be that less expensive if we buy at leats 381 F-22 raptors. I really think we need more than the 381 because if the line shuts down then through losses we will not be able to replace the F-22 that we would have. So give the money needed for Americas security and put it on our tax returne for donations if possible.Flag

Name: John Vivo on Dec 14, 2007Comments: I say buy less F-35s and more F-22s. Russia and India are developing a 5th gen fighter which may eventually be exported. We must maintain our air dominance. Upgraded F-15s will not maintain this advantage.Flag

Name: Stuart Hines on Feb 17, 2008Comments: If the Air Force does not obtain at least 380 F-22's, the program will be a complete waste of money. Considering how vastly large the U.S. military budget is, the Air Force should be given a higher percentage in order to provide for more F-22's.Flag

Name: Anonymous on May 28, 2008Comments: We can not assume that the threats this country will face in the next 50 years will all be low-intensity insurgencies. By sacrificing our conventional capabilities in order to improve our insurgency fighting capabilities, we not only risk loosing the next conventional war, but we also risk the greater likelyhood of a new conventional war. If our conventional forces loose the ability to deter our enemies, then the chance of war skyrockets.Flag

Name: James on Aug 31, 2008Comments: It is imperative that the United States and her allies understand, despite the technicalities and obsatcles, that we must continue to build up our airforce, because war rarely gives large warning. why not build 450, then America could live in safety and there would always be substantial number of F-22's to answer and end any threat with minimum risk.Flag
