609 M PritchardThe destruction of the dingo reflects upon the Australian people, wild animals of this kind are respected here in the US, what kind of people are you Australians? You already lost the Tasmanian Tiger, When will you learn?US

611 Samantha DavinThe Queensland Government needs to grow a brain, in particular with the Fraser Island Dingoes, which because of their purity in bllod SHOULD be Protected. I agree with everything on this petition, after all the Dingoes have been here longer than White Man, especially on Fraser Island. I love the Dingo.AU
612 KateThis amazing creature must be allowed to live with dignity. We humans have so much to answer for. The Dingo has been apart of the Australian landscape for thousands of years, and within 200 years it is facing extinction. Please stop the slaughter!AU

621 GarethAs a genetically and morphologically distinct subspecies of Canis lupus, the dingo should be preserved for future generations.US
622 Michelle Kraatz1080 is responsible for all of the hybrid dingoes. Because of 1080 it broke up packs, packs of Dingoes would never let a domestic dog near them but because of the break up of packs of dingoes and having to survive as individuals, in order to keep their species alive they reproduced with domestic/ wild dogs. Also, because of the dingoes not being in packs they have to save their energy and attacking livestock was therefore as easy kill. It is because of us. Why should we kill animals when it is ultimately our fault! There is many new research journals out there now that proves that Dindoes are beneficial for native ecosystems. It is about time we protect, nurture, respect and show compassion for our fellow creatures. It is long overdue.AU

634 Joanne McKaySIMPLY Pure dingo populations are now the exception rather than the rule, especially on the east coast, and that if cross-breeding continues, dingoes could reach extinction within 50 years. 641 Maree KennedyLong past time for the government to admit the way this whole issue has been misshandled. Instead of asking the people who live and learn from the dingo they went to the last place on earth anyone has any connection with the real world CANBERRA, the place people who cannot get a job in the real world go. If they are not there on Fraser how can they dictate what the regulations should be. My advice would be live it and learn from it. Any animal that is starving will source its needs form any palce it can to survive( not much different from us really ). Difference being we are supposed to be the superior race??. YES protect them from us, Yes they are very indangered Yestake them of the vermin list (The fraser island dingoes are the purest breed that is still in existance (NO THANKS TO MAN) Lets use our tourist attraction for good means and look after them and study them. Like all things that get in the way we tend to obliterate then ask what happened. Feeding stations YES Controlled assossiation with humans YES Study centres YES Protection for the dingos YES For gods sake lets get it right.AU
