Anonymous | By clearing the land to stockpile granite, the ecosystem ( flora and fauna) at that area would be affected. A habitat is lost and personally i think this is rather unethical and should be prevented at all cost. This may also affect the nearby farms as snakes and other pest and rodents start encroaching into their farms because of the loss of their habitat.
Anonymous | Kranji area is a lovely place that is away from our concrete jungle that we live in. Extinction is created by man kind due to ignorance and poor education.
Anonymous | pls don't destroy our last little piece of paradise. when mother earth decides enough is enough, all the modern devt humans have so far been capable of, will mean nothing. in fact, in this last decade, we have already experienced the terrifying aspect of global warming, and this is only the beginning! this earth was never meant for only humans ... it was always to be shared among us and the flora and fauna of God's creation. pls don't disturb the ecology of our last little piece of paradise!

Anonymous | Pls do not try to remove all of the farmland in Kranji. This is because I believe that we do have the need for some farmlands for both natural as well as economic purposes.

Simon Ong | I believe we should keep some nature in Singapore. I do not want Singapore to end up as a concrete jungle. If all countries think about conserving nature, the earth will last out longer. Look at the strange weather that has been occuring in the last few years and we know something is not right. Although it is a small piece of land, a small part goes a long way.

BUT we need to also address e matter of a location for e purpose of granite stockpiling. Is there a less ecologically sensitive area for this use? |
