| 1001 | Christina Tan | Development is good but I think it is always good to leave some thing nature behind so as we do not take development for granted. |

| 1005 | Lim Kuan Zhong | Writing from Shatin, Hong Kong, the 'countryside' of the otherwise concrete HK, I'd like to comment that the the HK govt initiative to go eco-friendly points to a set of possibilities that Singapore can achieve. We need the remaining green lungs (and more) to progress in ways that are sustainable for all Singaporeans. |

| 1009 | emma luo | You will certainly regret such a short sighted decision in the near future. |
| 1010 | Shen Keong | Save our country side. They slowly disappearing. |
| 1011 | Maria Rica Lotik | I'm totally amazed to see the country side of Singapore. I have never imagined Singapore to have an old secret garden rich with wild plants and mysterious animals. Long walks, fresh air, warm kisses of the sun..Kranji Countryside is a place of inspiration. Please, help us save it. |
| 1012 | HL Tan | I can fully understand the need to keep up with the development in order to keep Singapore "uptodate" but would think that we should not neglect that with the advances in technolgies, we still need our last piece of nature and fresh air.
It's would be such a pity if our future generation can only imagine and learn about how vegetables, fruits, etc are being grown only through the use of Internet and books and not being able to see for themselves. |
| 1013 | Xie meiying | Some may mock this seemingly small conservation effort. But it does contribute to the survival of the planet we live in. Saving the earth must first start from our own backyard.
Global warming as a result of rampant and indiscrimanate deforestation is the evidence of this erroneous thinking of downplaying the significance of our actions. We reap what we sow.
Drastic climatic changes and natural disasters in recent years have shown how we, the inhabitants have failed in our responsibility to be good stewards of the resources the planet earth has provided.
Time is not on our side, before the destruction become permanent, we must make every little effort we can to reverse the deterioration of the planet. |
| 1014 | Lee Hwee Lin | I want to continue bringing my kids to Singapore own countryside to experience my childhood, so please STOP this destruction!!! |

| 1024 | Goh Chwee Suan | Please stop destroying what little is left of our natural landscape. Economic developments change, but our natural heritage will always be a vital resource for us and future generations to come. |
| 1025 | Tan Lii chong | Do u think the authorities would bother about this petition? Maybe, but unlikely..........
But I still insist to lend my voice to this verbal protest against such steps taken by the govt agencies.
Look around, everyone is fleeing out of singapore to get a peace in mind, away from the noise pollution etc........why dun we just preserve the pathetic patch of countryside we have then.
Surprised to find many people flocking to Kranji on weekends to enjoy the different moods and rhythm in lifestyle.....GREENERY....THATS IT.
Spare us, even it is only a minority group, a place to relax and energise ourselves after all those XX-chased lifestyle over the entire week. |
| 1026 | Oscar Lee | I still want to have a place to bring my young son to pet the goats, touch the plants, smell the fresh air and feed the fish.
Surely there must be other locations, like TUAS that could do with some more pollution! What about some part of Jurong Island? |

| 1042 | Anonymous | No doubt stockpiling of granite is essential for the future but so is nature for Singapore.
Keep our island green! |
| 1043 | Ng Jing yng | We should try to preserve what is little life of Singapore's countryside. |
| 1044 | Soon Tze Chien | Please leave some space for nature in Singapore. |
| 1045 | Caroline | Yes! We do need some countryside even though we are just a dot on the map. Let our future generations experience some too. |
