Comments: Even if the library were architecturally insignificant, it is a public building and, as such, should not be sold to developers. As one of the most important buildings in Atlanta it most certainly should be preserved.

Comments: Please do not tear down another distinguished building and piece of art. This is killing our city's reputation and destroying one of the few treasures that exist here.

Comments: shameful that we even need to defend quality pieces of architecture from pathetic eifs blandness. Soon america will have no appreciation of culture, architecture or the arts and then we will no longer be a civilization.

Comments: It would be a great shame if such a handsome building were lost. It is part of Atlanta's architectural history. In a city with precious little good architecture, this should be protected. I am shocked that its destruction is being considered.

Comments: This is an excellent source for knowledge - not only for the books that it holds, but the architectural significance it has on Atlanta's architectural landscape! Do not replace this artistic jewel with a generic piece of garbage that could be placed anywhere in Anywhere, USA. SAVE THE LIBRARY!!!

Comments: When I first arrived in Atlanta I found that people often gave me directions related to buildings that no longer existed, such as "Go down Peachtree to where the old Buckhead Sears used to be". Please don't let the Buckhead library become another one of the ghost landmarks!!

Comments: We have too few architecturally significant buildings in this town as it is. It would be a shame to lose such a wonderful structure, only to be replaced by more of Ben Carter's glorified shopping mall. Save the Library!

Comments: The planned buildings for the new buckhead district are not "upscale" or well designed. EIFS and fake materials do not convey "upscale". I am a resident and for one, I will not frequent any business which occupies the space which the buckhead library used to should it be demolished.

Comments: We are tired of the mundane copycat stucco and fake brick low rise psuedo mixed use buildings that developers bring to our neighborhoods. Have we not heard of sustainability Leave the library and building the develpment around it, use the architecture as a sculptural landmark piece to add excitment to what is sure to be more empty feeling buildings
