Comments: As past studies have shown, simply erasing the brewery site simply doesn't work. Although there are obvious tensions between stakeholders to maximise profits in the event of introducing maximum density housing and commercial buildings to the site; the site carries a grain of city history that simply cannot be erased. The 'Blue Star' is a synbol of the city and of the people. York has it's Minster, London has its Tower Bridge. Newcastle has the Blue Star. The existing fabric of the site needs to be retained and modified to keep history upon the site and the city.

Comments: Historical attraction which can be incorporated in with the new, thus making it a benificial project to newcastle and the community, Additional with the scarcity of land this will reduce the land usage, and improve the usage of brown field sites

Comments: Sensitive redevelopment = retaining historical & cultural elements. Of all organisations these 3 [Newcastle City Council and Newcastle University and One North East] should have embraced and acted upon this by now. There is no excuse!
