To the NYS Board of Regents: We, the undersigned, believe that the fine arts are a vital part of education in our schools today. Your Endorsement for Elementary Level Teachers to Teach Visual and Performing Arts would compromise the quality of arts instruction in our schools. We are petitioning for you to reconsider this proposal, and to allow highly qualified personnel to instruct the arts in early elementary grades.
