| 16 | Shauna McIntosh | Not only is the liveliehood of many standardbred horsemen at stake, but also the lives of many horses. Killing our industry would be a true tragedy. An equitable solution must be found. |

| 23 | Gordon McDonald | We have been involved in harness racing in Alberta since 1990. We coordinated the ASHA 4H program for several years. We breed, raise and race our homebreds in Alberta and hate to think of shipping them to another province. We have contacted our MLA Cindy Ady concerning the strange dealings between HRA, special payments to Stampede Park and special agreements with Northlands park.
Our provincial government should be very concerned about dealings such as these.
We certainly appreciate seeing you young folks get involved.

| 26 | Tobin Stetson | I'm a 22 year old who lives and has horses in the maritimes but is working in Alberta. I have been to Northlands many times and love the atmosphere and great racing. I think it is great these 4 young people are passionate about harness racing and have created this petition to raise awareness for the struggling standardbred industry in hopes it will be here for many more generations to enjoy. |
| 27 | Al & Georgina Terry | Thank you so much for taking the initiative to start this petition. It would be a total disaster to the Standardbred Racing community and to the province to lose this huge industry that overall employs hundreds of people. Northlands and HRA do not publicize the harness racing at all but when it comes to thoroughbreds then all the advertsising starts. This has been the same over the last few years. We do not get equal treatment as we are supposed to get. It is time that the government stepped in and took care of these problems. Thandks again. |

| 36 | Dan Gullett | this situation mirrors what took place in Manitoba
a few years back , I believe in reality that our standardbred industry has not developed a strong
enough bond and have not built a lobby group that
kept governments and the public totally informed on
our standardbred industry in western Canada. The
standardbred industry in western Canada continues to manage by crisis , and until we get our
industry into 3-5-10 year programs and management styles and platforms we will fail |
| 37 | Cathy Reid | I find it unbelievable that the same organizations that are in place to protect us can turn around and do this. Everyone pretends that no one knew but someone did! The advice have have received from our organization is that is why you elect people. Don't go off on your own - let us handle it. You young people have done more than our own organization! Good Work, you should be proud |

| 46 | Linda Walker | Both my husband and myself are in full support of this worthy cause. We own and breed standardbreds and enjoy the sport and want to see the industry continue and grow. It seems foolhearty to me to exclude one entity of an industry to promote another and that is what is happening here. We MUST be able to work together and promote both sides of the racing industry or we all lose.

| 47 | william gemmill | the height of stupidty is the best way to describe the recent decision of Northlands. i'll start with the indignation at the thought of the hundreds if not thousands of direct and indirect jobs associated with the standardbredbred industry that will be lost and i'll finish with the real possibilty that the powers on the thoroughbred side that are being silent will regret that decision when Northlands decides they don't need their horses either and they find that they are walking down the road kicking stones with their standardbred counterparts |
| 48 | Anonymous | harness racing in alberta is important to a lot of people. we must keep it going. |
| 49 | Robert Maze | It is unfortunate that the standardbred industry in Alberta has come to this state. No attendance, litte to no public interest and now, no race track. Hopefully, the different groups can work together to find long term viable solutions that secure the future of both breeds while meeting the short term needs of the race tracks. This will take some visionary leadership, changes in paradigms of the participants and for all parties to look for solutions that make the pie bigger rather than just cutting it into pieces. |
| 50 | Peter Morris | Go girls and thanks for taking up the fight. Fallon, How is Crown Time Connect (Eddie) doing? I used to own a half of him. Lovely, lovely horse.
