we actually pulled it off and the park is staying open. i cant thank you enough for backing this when it felt like they were really going to shut it down. lets keep an eye on things just to make sure they stick to their word.

im still reading through all your stories about school trips and weekends up at the escarpment. its clear this place means way more to everyone than just some lines on a budget sheet. im working on getting a meeting with folks at the park office so they understand exactly what they are threatening to take away.

im honestly blown away by how much this has taken off. seeing so many people speak up for the park shows the governor that we arent going to just sit back and let this happen.

it is the best park in the capital region. ridiculous that they would even consider this.
THACHER IS A LANDMARK. leave it open. closing it is just plain stupid.
so many memories there with my family. really hope they find the money elsewhere.
my kids have been going there on field trips for years. dont shut it down!!
I grew up hiking those cliffs. It would be a huge loss for the whole county to lose access to that beauty. keep it open.
