Name: Rowie Christopher on Feb 1, 2007Comments: Currently I can walk to the pool, and get changed in relative privacy with other women and I prefer that. A pool in Blackbird Leys would involve me driving to a not so safe area, as cycling and leaving my bike there is out of the question, thus adding to the air carbon pollution, which I'm not happy to do.Flag

Name: Nigel Cardale on Sep 23, 2007Comments: Hi I live in Derwentside Co Durham where we have a similar situation to yours. The council want to close the existing pool, sell the land & provide a smaller pool with less amenities on another site. We have recently formed an action group and would welcome the opportunity to "compare notes" or get advice etc. Can you give me a contact name & email or phone no. or email. Hoping to hear from you Nigel CardaleFlag

Name: Anonymous on Feb 24, 2008Comments: I recently found out there is this Swimming pool available to the public, and my family is looking forward to going for a lovely swim sometime soon. I think as a soon tobe new comer of temple cowley swimming pool, some people may have issues with the opposite sex may find it disturbing having to share the same room for a changing faciuities let alone not knowing Whom is in the next CubiclesFlag

Name: John Stone on May 26, 2008Comments: I learned to swim at Temple Cowley Pool 60 years ago. It was a wonderful resource which served the community over a wide catchment area. A pool at Blackbird Leys would serv a much smaller catchment area. The pool and the library at Temple Cowley had a certain synergy in terms of use. I plan to swim there again this summer when I visit friends in Headington. Homes are important, but so too are local amenities for people of all ages, but especially the young. Good luck with your campaign.Flag
