Name: Thomas Azzolini, DPM on Jan 18, 2006State: NJComments: Supporting the continued operation of St. Mary Hospital not only the right thing to do, it will also prove to be fiscally responsible over the long term. This hospital is in a unique position to serve the residents of Hudson County. If it closes, there will never be another acute care fascility in Hoboken. The growth and improvement of services at St. Mary Hospital guided by UMDNJ can help set a new positive course for the University to follow.Flag

Name: Janette Cucchiara on Jan 19, 2006State: NJComments: I am a registered nurse in this hospital for just about 30 years. I went to nursing school here and have remained ever since, because I can't imagine myself in another hospital. St. Mary hospital along with the community is my family and I have dedicated my life and career to it. I am the coordinator of the Cardiac Rehab Center and Telemonitoring Heart Failure Program. I can honestly tell you that the members of the community have always regarded this center as their home and a place of comfort where they will find assistance, answers or just a friendly smile. Don't let this valuable service close. In times of economic tragedy please retain that human touch.Flag

Name: Dr. Adam Teichman on Jan 19, 2006State: PAComments: I would just like to advise you on what a loss Hoboken would be without St. Mary Hospital. St. Mary Hospital is not only a community hospital, that serves the community, but also is an institution that molds young, inexperienced medical students into excellent, competent physicians and surgeons. I have recently completed my residency and owe all of my experience's and training to the residency program at St. Mary Hospital. The Hospital also supports the community in many ways including the indigent population through out their many clinics and ER. Closing the Hospital would be a detriment to the medical community as well as the Hoboken community. I hope this letter helps encourage the state to support this hospital. Dr. Adam Teichman,Flag

Name: Irene Fernandez on Jan 19, 2006State: NJComments: We need a well staffed competent hospital as St. Mary's in our area needless to say the high expertise of doctors which has maintained its standards through the years. It goes without saying that Hoboken/Weehawken rely on a hospital nearby not only for emergencies but for tests etc. Closing this hospital should be out of the question in everyone's mind. You would be taking away from the community and you should take into account where its location is and how difficult it is with traffic and the New York City tunnels in the area. Please we ask that you keep this hospital open for all services and fully staffed not as it has been lately. Thank you.Flag

As the city of Hoboken continues to grow and flourish, it is clear that it needs at least one hospital. Do not close St. Mary Hospital.Flag

Where are people in New Jersey expected to go for quality healthcare Every decent facility is shutting down. We pay so much for health insurance and have no good hospitals to go to.Flag
