This outcome preserves a vital sanctuary for our community and protects the local habitat from unnecessary destruction. We must now remain diligent to ensure this land stays open and accessible for everyone in the years …

Developers plan to build a housing estate on a green site in Islington just before it is declared a Site of Borough Grade II Importance for Nature Conservation. We, the undersigned, are concerned citizens who urge our leaders to act now to protect Green Spaces in Islington and to prevent a development which will destroy a UK BAP Priority Habitat and result in the demolition of a Community Centre used predominantly by the over 65s.

The local planning office has begun reviewing our formal objections regarding the potential loss of the monastery garden habitats. I am currently compiling a detailed report on the historical significance of the site to ensure our concerns remain at the forefront of their deliberations.

The momentum building behind this effort reflects a shared commitment to preserving our local green space. As we approach one hundred signatures, I ask that you help bring this concern to the attention of others who value the character of our neighborhood. Achieving this particular milestone will provide a meaningful foundation for the conversations we intend to have with local officials.

The gardens around the Retreat and the School at Saint-Joseph's should not be built upon as there were covenants to that effect when the land was given to the Passionists,Order to build a church.

This is one of the only quiet green spots left in the area. We really need to keep it for the older people who use the center everyday.

PLEASE LEAVE THE MONASTERY GROUNDS ALONE. SO MUCH HISTORY THERE ALREADY.

Ridiculous. Stop building over every single inch of grass just to make a quick buck. Islington is already packed enough.
