Dear Mr. President Vladimir Putin, We are alarmed by the situation around the Creative Education Center for the Orphaned and Special Needs Children in the city of Yahroma, Moscow District. The Center, which has done so much of good work, for many years providing psychological and social rehabilitation for disadvantaged children, the place which became a loving home for so many orphans is under a threat of closure from the local administration. We believe that the unique work of the Center for Creative Education in Yahroma, its educational and community-building efforts aimed to help orphaned and disadvantaged children are essential for the new and healthy society in Russia. I am deeply touched by the letters which orphaned children are addressing to you, Mr. President, and I join with children's plea: Please intervene asap, please help children to preserve their only spiritual home, please stand firmly on the side of justice and kindness. Please support the Center for orphaned children in Yahroma and help to keep its doors open. Centers like this should be supported throughout the country, for the benefit of the Russian society, and for all of us.
