HERE IS A POOR MAN, A FARMER, A VILLAGER AND AN RTI ACTIVIST from Yella Reddy Peta, KARIMNAGAR DISTRICT - SHANKAR who stood against all odds and told the world "ALL IT NEEDS IS GUTS AND A BIT OF PASSION" to make Gandhiji's dream a reality and protect villages against the cancerous disease - "CORRUPTION". Seeing the goverment schemes (Indiramma Gruha pathakam etc) completely filled with corruption, he pulled out Rs 10 from his pocket and filed an RTI at the MPTO office in Ella Reddy Peta. This pulled out a CAN of WORMS and the villagers realized that crores of rupees has been looted. Outraged by this phenomenon, Government officials branded this man as a MAD MAN and sent him to MENTAL ASYLUM, Booked a fake SC/ST Atrocity case and JAILED for 11 days before Karimnagar Loksatta Party along with other organizations took the initiative to release him on Bail. Shankar has been receiving threats on a daily basis and he will need all our support to help get some protection. The intention of this petition is get as many signatures as possible and finally send this petition to Andhra Pradesh Cheif Minister, Nallari Kiran Kumar Reddy.
