There is talk at HABS Main School of rugby being downgraded as a secondary sport to be played in the spring term only at HABS. As no other peer schools play rugby in the spring term it will not be possible for a fixture list. The proposal is that in the autumn term rugby will be replaced by football. Rugby gives us, and for those signing below as parents – we have seen our sons at the Prep School develop from • Working together as a team through rugby’s camaraderie and discipline • Respect for each other, our coaches and the referees • The glory of winning, yet how to move on from mistakes and be more successful • A challenging, yet fun way to build our strength, speed and fortitude • Pride in our school when we play fixtures We ask that HABS consider us – your next generation of HABS Boys – and not take this opportunity away from us.
