Name: Dan Geislinger on Feb 29, 2008Comments: Roseville 4 is a valuable community asset. It provides low-cost entertainment for a host of people who otherwise wouldn't have it. The City Council should consider other options from Roundy's before essentially shutting down this viable local and family-owned business.Flag

Name: David Mattheisen on Feb 29, 2008Comments: The Roseville 4 theater has long been a fixture in the City of Roseville, just like the "Welcome to Roseville" donkey is on Lexington Avenue. To close this venerable institution would not be in the best interests in the community as a whole. This theater brings a distinct quality of life to its patrons, a feature that Roseville has long been noted for. If Roseville wants to become another Crystal, this is one way of doing it. On another note: Patrons from the Roseville 4 bring a significant amount of business to Rainbow Foods and there is no guarantee that even if Roundys/Rainbow demolishes the theater and expands that they will continue to survive the highly competitive retail grocery market with Cub, Target, Byerly's and Walmart within a stone's throw. It would be disgraceful to close this fine institution only to have the block as a whole be a ghost town next year.Flag

Name: Tony Singerhouse on Feb 29, 2008Comments: wow, I am very displeased! I can't believe that they would do this to such a great place to see movies. i have been going there since i was just ten years old. I really do not want to see this place go, since its so affordable to see movies there and it had been with us for so long! and they probably even bring business to Rainbow, so demolishing it would possibly loose business at the grocery store!Flag
