There is so many people that depend on the hospital and staff plus it's a great place to work too.Flag

Name: John Fioriti on Feb 7, 2004State: MACountry: USComments: If becoming cost effective is the goal, hire an entrepreneur, instead of a hospital administrator, to set and achieve goals. This may mean thinking outside the box and hiring someone with a disability or a turn around expert who can preserve Rancho's expertise and deliver cost effective outcomes which benefit all parties involved.Flag

Name: Prince Dikibo on Dec 18, 2004State: NECountry:Comments: ATTENTION: With much optimism and nurtured high hopes that this message will get to you at an early date as intended, I am Prince Dikibo Jnr., the son of the assasinated politician, Chief A.K Dikibo. My father was the south-south leader of the ruling party P.D.P and was in possession of the party's local govt campaign fund by the time he was assasinated. The party was informed that the assasinators made away with the fund but i secretely deposited it with a security company as a family treasure, the content known only to my mother. My motive for approaching you aside from soliciting for positive and viable investment partners (PRIVATE CAPACITY) is to seek your assistances in buying shares with a reputable company in your country using you as a FRONTER/CONFIDANT and also assisting me in transfering the money in question from here in Nigeria where it is deposited to your possession. Since the death of my father,my family have been going through untold hardship and i have my only hope now on this fund. I cannot move this fund out now without raising suspicions and so i want you to help me in securing the fund out of the security company where it is deposited and out of this country. I am therefore using this medium in encouraging you to contact me immediately with your personal details for the urgent movement of the money to your bank account, the total sum of money is USD18.2million dollars., Of course I want you to manage the wealth for me therefore the percentage for helping me will be determined when we finally meet one on one and draw an agreement in that respect. I will forward the necessary documents concerning same after I get your direct fax/phone number. I advise you to regard this letter as an emergency and a viable opportunity for a profitable investment of course a life time business relationship with the Dikibos. Thanks in advance. Prince Dikibo jnr.Flag

Name: Franz Thiebaut on Mar 3, 2005State: CACountry: USComments: USA is the only developed country with no universal health insurance. Health care is not a luxury nor a charity but a must for any modern society. The absence of health care is more costly than heatlh care itself. Health care is a basic necessity that should not be controled by private companies. This is why in any other developed country health care is organized by the governement. TO prevent USA from becoming a trailing society KEEP RANCHO LOS AMIGOS REHABILITATION CENTER OPEN!Flag

Name: Teri Weiss on Dec 29, 2006State: CACountry: USComments: Hello you good people. I worked as an LVN at Rancho in the late 60's in the pediatrics unit. In those days the "team" concept was a very unique concept in medicine and absolutely necessary with the devastating trauma that those kids underwent. From head traumas, spinal cord injuries, birth defects the Rancho "team" supplied those unfortunates with cutting edge multi-dimensional help and healing. The things I learned there still continue to serve me after 30 years in medicine. (Nurse Practitioner in Family Practice graduate out of UC Davis.) I believe Rancho's existence is not only essential for the patients, but also for the community and for the nation. This medical "village and community" was a beacon of light and hope for those whose lives are irrevocably altered beyond repair. Rancho always provided the maximum level for those people to strive for and return to a productive life...and a future. Good luck to you all there.Flag

Name: Anonymous on May 11, 2007State: CACountry: USComments: My father sufered a severe stroke in July 2005. His doctors did not beleive he would ever be able to function on his own. As a result, I researched brain injury and stroke facilities in the Southern California region, including UCLA. I visited many brain injury and stroke facilities and determined that Rancho Los Amigos was the best facility to provide rehabilitation services for my father. My father was admidded to Rancho Los Amigos and released three weeks later. He is now at home and able to function mostly on his own despite doubts by every doctor that evaluated him while in the community hospital. I believe that teh doctors, nusres and staff and Rancho Los Amigos made the difference. Please keep this facility open for others that experience the injuries my father experienced.Flag

Echagaray-Hollingsworth on May 14, 2007State: CACountry: USComments: As a paraplegic in the 50s, I was a patient in Rancho for many years, and I am so grateful that my rehab took place there. At Rancho, I learned to take care of myself, gained my education, and made many lifelong friends at the same time. Since leaving Rancho, I married, had three children, and eventually moved with my family to northern California. When I needed to have my back refused in the late 90s, local doctors told me there was nothing they could do for me. The outlook they painted was bleak. But from my years at Rancho, I learned thatFlag
