Hey Everyone, I just want to encourage you to get involved with this petition, and saving the Riverside Adult School! The Board of Education, Riverside Unified School District, and the Budget Advisory Committee really do not have an idea of what Adult Education Means to the city of riverside and how important it is, yet these are the people representing us.Their plan is to use 90% of the Adult Education Reserve Fund to use as a "Stop-Gap" Measure toward resolving the District's 33 Million dollar deficit. The reality is that it's only a "Stop-Gap", it will not solve the problem. Other districts are going to their unions and coming up with more creative ideas in oppose to having employees loose their jobs. Such ideas are reduced work year, furlough days for everyone in the district, reduced school year! Why aren't these options being discussed and proposed to the board. If we cut job's we don't improve the economy, we cripple it more that...
