I understand that the developer is from Xaghra, if it is true SHAME ON YOU WHOEVER YOU ARE. Just Do Not Call Yourself a Xaghri. How can you do this to your village where you grew up.Flag

Name: Maria McClymont on Jun 10, 2007Country of Residence: GBComments: Why on God's earth would anyone want to build and spoil the natural beauty at Ramla and also to build villas with pools when you are only a few feet away from the beach. The greedy are getting greedier and fatter. Please dont help them to get richer by ruining Ramla for ever, becouse in these cases no one can turn the clock ones distruction starts. Think hard please to keep Ramla as it is.Flag

Name: Anonymous on Jun 10, 2007Country of Residence: MTComments: So the Ramla parking got closed several years ago to protect the ecology and now all this development can take place Where's the logic The only chance to stop this is to go with this in front of the european authorities Natura 2000 etc cause i fear its useless now that the permission has been granted to protest locally.Flag

Name: Joseph Xerri on Jun 10, 2007Country of Residence: MTComments: We should learn to respect our environment... we should also learn to respect posterity because our sons will end up living on a island destroyed by development. We should also learn to respect the laws and common sense... when are we going to learn that money isnt everything Why is it that does who have money can do whatever they like on this island Why are we destroying all that our fathers have fought and died for why are we unable to feel proud to be Maltese citizens and happy with all the beauty that our country can offer WHY ARE WE STILL SLAVES TO THESE STUPID, MONEY DRIVEN PEOPLE!!! STOP THIS INSANITY!!!!!Flag

Name: Manuel Gafa' on Jun 10, 2007Country of Residence: MTComments: In a small island such as Gozo, such development isn't sustainable due to various reasons. This project apart from spoiling a large part of our natural heritage is synonymous with polluting our land for the sake of rich people which want to have control on the most beutiful parts of our planet.Flag

Name: Anonymous on Jun 10, 2007Country of Residence: MTComments: Even thinking about building there is disgraceful. One of the only beaches we have on gozo and they they're going to ruin it with dust and noise pollution. Ramla should be for everyone to enjoy not just the rich.Flag

Name: Anonymous on Jun 10, 2007Country of Residence: MTComments: Very nice. MEPA barely gives a permit to build a house where you are supposed to build houses, while the give a permit for 23 villas with pools in one of the few places where we could admire our heritage passed on to us by our forefathers.Flag

Name: Andrew on Jun 10, 2007Country of Residence: MTComments: I thought tourists came to Gozo cause its untouched by severe development. How will developing a complex help that Besides even if the development will be outside the protected site there are still endemic species found only in Ramla which will be severely affected. I strongly believe that MEPA should consider more scientific studies on impact on the area before approving such a project.Flag

Name: Nathanael Portelli on Jun 10, 2007Country of Residence: MTComments: MEPA STOP THIS NONSENSE!!! We already have a country where wherever you go you see buildings and "development", and the very little natural environment we have is being destroyed. So now stop the destruction of the best beach in Gozo with one of the finest views!Flag
