Danny Cohen at BBC3 has decided to kill off Pulling, the superb comedy by Sharon Horgan and Dennis Kelly, after only two series. After the recently aired special Cohen stated that there are no plans to commission any further series claiming that the series is not suitable for the "demographic" they are trying to attract to BBC3. TV comedy in this country has been in serious decline for several years, due more to the lack of vision in commissioning than the lack of demand for sophisticated and witty comedy on the part of the audience. There are a number of comedies that continue to be commissioned by BBC channels of much poorer quality that Horgan's excellent series, so if you feel strongly that you would like to see this series returned, sign up and we will try and get the BBC to take some notice of their viewers on this subject.
