The hogs may be injured (sometimes) but never have i seen one that was hurt so bad it was killed or died. The dogs are pulled away before they are able to do any realy damage and most dogs that are used are family dogs and very cuddly they just enjoy this sport that was intoduced to them by man. hog dog rodeos are a southern tradition and if it is still LEGAL to use these dogs to hunt with then why is not ok to use them in sport for hog catching. i feel this is very hypocritical for anyone to say that this is cruel and inhumane to these hogs when half the people against it use dogs every year for hunting and EAT meat(pork) themselves. If this time honored sport should be illegal then we all and every hunter in the country should be prosocuted! |
