He was placed on several different medications with little relief. I kept him on a dirt lot and he would still go lame. It was not until he was finally prescribed pergolide that he started to improve. He runs and bucks like a young horse should, which I never thought would be possible again. He even escaped through an improperly latched gate and grazed on a full lush pasture for about ten hours while I was at work, and didn't founder. Prior to the pergolide, he would have foundered after ten minutes of pasture! Buddy's quality of life has improved so drastically that instead of hearing "You need to put that pony down," I now hear "Wow, your pony looks great!" Please allow pergolide to be compounded for use in equines!! |
