Much of the world lacks the understanding of prior ancestors, and the more sites that are undermined the less we have available. Unfortunately, in America, much of the past isn't taught. we focus on recent time periods, instead of studying more bits and pieces of history to inspire, so when our kids are ready to think about college they have better glimpses into mankind and origion. Destruction of history, and buildings is a crime. I even consider buildings in poor neighborhoods that cities are turning into malls a crime. We need a world preservation trust that controls historical sites, and stops progress in thier areas. We also need to preserve, and revamp old neighborhoods, but do it with a better understanding of the people that once ocupied, and now occupy them. Instead of having vacaqnt buildings in our cities, and blaming each other we should mass together, tor repair, preserve, and breath new life into the neighborhoods, without moving people out. And taking in all things as an investment in our future instead of thinking of them as a waste of time and money. |
