| 3652 | Ali Campbell | i cannot believe in this day and age of enlightenment, that we would consider giving away a public institution to a private group without consideration of animals rights and the future of the world's animals.
let a theme park develop elsewhere, riding of the back's of animals is not a source of entertainment bu a sign that as a society in a over developed frame of mind, what is bigger is not better.
link in the planets woes and realize we cannot keep consumng for frivolity, we cannot afford it.
hands off!!! |

| 3654 | Joyce Bown | Don't care what guarantees etc. are put into place. Within 5 years they will mean nothing as the power of big business outweighs the governments capacity to control them. NO, NO, A THOUSAND TIMES 'NO'. |
| 3655 | Marielle Soni | Developers seek another site. It really is that simple. Nature is threatened enough, please leave the zoo alone.
There has been a number of issues I strongly disagree with that our State Government seems determined to undergo. All seem to be at the expense of common sense and longevity. Start listening. |
| 3656 | Margaret Thomas | I've been to the Werribee Open Range Zoo and it wonderful to see the animals in a natural close up environment for all to enjoy. Not everyone can go to Africa etc to see this. We are fortunate to have it on our doorstep knowing the animals are protected and well cared for.
I am against the Village Roadshow proposal. |

| 3662 | Heather Cameron | I think this proposal is outrageous. It is deplorable that the Victorian Government has accepted it as a done deal without any consultation with the people of Victoria (and elsewhere including Queensland where the VR has a theme park). |

| 3667 | Naomi Norris | it is important that areas for animals are maintained that are not part of a funpark - a day at werribee zoo is more than enough "entertainment" for the whole family. |

| 3671 | Christine MALBON | Zoos should preserve animal species not turn them into carnivals & theme parks for commercial gains. |

| 3681 | Cecilia Litchfield | In our highly commercialized and built-up environment, an Open Range Zoo is a small window to a world that we in the city miss out on. Why taint it with the artificial glitz of a theme park???? The Zoo is a worthy cause for the Victorian Government to support, without private funds. |

| 3687 | Elizabeth Dorsett | Sounds like a really bad direction for Werribee Zoo and zoos generally. Abandon the misguided idea- at the very least, open up a public debate |

| 3689 | kylie | Leave the zoo as it stands we need to protect our animals not annoy or cause distress.
God Bless
PS
God built Noak's Ark not man. |
| 3690 | Monica Parris | I feel it is a ridiculous proposal and the Victorian government is being extremely short-sighted. |
| 3691 | wendy smith | Although I believe a theme park is great fun and that we should have one in Vic I do not believe the Werribee Zoo is for that purpose. Build it else where.
I do not believe theme parks and zoos have any parallels.

| 3693 | Caitlin Tzounos | Werribee Open Range Zoo is supposed to be about conservation and trying to protect what we still have in the world from poachers and money-hungry individuals. Lets not turn into those people and keep Werribee how it was intended to be....about education and conservation |
| 3694 | Helen Greasby | We do not need a theme park. But we do need to keep Werribee Open Range Zoo. The animals are precious likewise the environment. Please keep our zoo for animals and not machines. |
| 3695 | Rebekah Blake | |
| 3696 | Justine Lopez | keep the zoo a zoo and not a open range cinema!! |
| 3697 | Naomi Szabo | |
| 3698 | Neil Buck | I believe the current zoo is a unique item in the Southern Hemisphere and why would you want to change it, especially as it is so close to a major city. If you want a theme park go to Queensland or Los Angeles. Let's try and retain something different. |
| 3699 | Gerard Roe | |
| 3700 | Clare Connan | We don't need a theme park to enjoy Werribee Zoo! |
