| 354 | Elizabeth Bakewell | Please leave these beautiful trees alone! I love these trees, and all the people I know love the Trees. Isn't there more civil business to attend to? |
| 355 | Penelope Sudrow | I grew up in Santa Monica and these trees are lovely, it breaks my heart every time city officials decide to do this somewhere. It has also happening in Westchester right now along Sepulveda Blvd. It is breaking my heart I live near there now, and find such peace while going down that street. I have laways called it "Broccoli Row". Please let me know what I can do to save the trees also near me in Westchester. Trees bring Peace, please don't take that from us. Please leave the tress where they are, they have a right to be there. Especially along 4th street, they have been well maintained & their roots are fine, not intruding anywhere. This has to stop, this kind of random, thoughless destruction of our environment - our personal day to day environment & lives. |
| 356 | Janine Parker | The city is just not the same since there has been so much real estate going up, too many people living in the city, too many employers working in the city, etc. Keep what is most holy and pure, nature, to give the long time residents something to help us remember just how great Santa Monica used to be - a quaint little beautiful community. |
| 357 | Pirkko Angelikis | Yes, please trees are good and we need everyone. |

| 367 | Jon Mann | before tqaking "the unkinliest cut of all" an independant arborist should re-evaluate whether ANY of these trees are a hazard to the public. |
| 368 | Carolyn Blair | Large mature trees are valuable resources worth millions. They are living organisms the citizen of Los Angeles love and enjoy daily-- and are very attached to. They give a sense of security in our fast changing world and in our dense urban cities that are constantly adding more hardscape with little concern to what is vital to everyone’s quality of life.
Preservation of existing mature trees is a statement that a city cares-- and reflects the irreplaceable wealth and economic health of the cities greatness. |

| 373 | Mark Hauenstein | My wife and I recently vacationed in Santa Monica and were immediately drawn to the mature abundant branched thick green ficus trees lining the streets. It would be devastating to see these beautiful trees cut down if they are healthy and thriving. |
| 374 | Farzaneh Farnoush | I am agree absolutely, We need to save the trees. It is very important for our enviroment. |

| 377 | Gloria Ainslie | Help keep Santa Monica looking beautiful...save and preserve our trees!
Thank you for listening to our pleas... |
| 378 | laine taylor | santa monica is slowly becoming a small new york to many people and too many changes. the things that attracted me to move here 20 yrs. ago are almost all gone. the progress has ruined our city so why don't we cut down all the trees and tear down all the cool old buildings and get rid of of all the poor and middle class people as well so the city can get more money by putting in more starbucks and coffeee beans. i hope that the people that make and give the orders to kill the trees will have something they love be killed as well for karma is a real bitch so watch out. |
| 379 | Cat Healy | I looooove those trees! Dont remove them, it will look UGLY. Santa Monica is supposed to be a vey echo conscience city! Why are you doing this?! It's terrible. |

| 382 | John Bosson | Save 'em! They look pretty! |
| 383 | Spencer Neiman | |
| 384 | David Busch | The removal of so many majestic ficus trees from downtown already is terrible --and so hurts the friendliness of our city.
Dear Santa Monica City Council, please look at the tremendous response of all of the people --who want you to do the right thing --and please change your minds; and save these big trees and their big, beautiful, and irreplaceable canopies, for the sake of us all. |
| 385 | Teresa Xu | Save Our Trees!!!
It would be such a pity to lose all the soothing greenery. Gingkos are nice, but don't kill our older trees for them. |

| 396 | rexbeck@netscape.com | Stop the trashing of mature trees all over the west side and anywhere else. We need our trees for our wellbeing. |
| 397 | Susan Clark | Don't let Santa Monica become a concrete jungle. We need landscaping and beautification like all the other major cities in the US. Shade trees are important, and I applaud Jery Rubin and his tree advocates. |
| 398 | Joni Greenberger | please save the trees of santa monica - they are a valuable part of our city, and not replaceable with younger ginkos! |
