| 507 | Ruby Neumann | Please don't destroy the trees. We desperately need signs of nature and greenery to feed our souls and in the ever-changing fast-paced environment. Thank you. |

| 509 | yijun yao | Pls save the trees. Don't remove them. |
| 510 | Colleen McGraw | If the trees are cut down I would be less inclined to visit or shop on those streets, not more inclined. Quite frankly, I would probably never shop that area again if the trees are cut down. |
| 511 | Cecilia Miniucchi | Please lets save these trees!!! AND plant more in Santa MOnica and all over LA! |

| 515 | Vanessa Poster | Dear Councilmembers,
I don't live in Santa Monica, but every tree is a resource to the whole community and provides tremendous benefits that reduce Santa Monica's environmental footprint (which currently DOES extend to Redondo Beach.. so, I'm KINDA a constituent!).
Please reconsider the destruction of these trees. Shade is just one of the benefits of big, older trees. Shade reduces the "heat-island" effect, effectively reducing local temperatures. Also, trees reduce the amount of pollution that PARKED cars produce when parked in the sun.
Make the neighborhood infrastructure accommodate the trees, don't punish the trees and the people.
As a wise man, Dr. Suess, once said, "I speak for the trees cuz the trees have no tongues." Please don't cut down the ficus trees. They are an irreplacable treasure. |
| 516 | Marilyn Spivey | Shame on you! I still see the ficus trees when I come to Santa Monica several times a week and I think anyone who destroys trees unnecessarily ought to be booted out of office! No wonder so few people vote these days, with such idiots in charge! |

| 518 | Anonymous | Please be mindful of our delicate environment and do not destroy these trees. I admire the city council in Santa Monica because they seem to be a leader in Los Angeles for our environment. Please stay that way. |

| 521 | Anonymous | It is ridiculous to replace those beautiful, shade giving trees. |
| 522 | April Wayland | I grew up in SM. Please don't cut them down. |
| 523 | Carolyn | |
| 524 | Lauren Everett | The prioritizing of Santa Monica as a shopping destination has been the downfall of this city's distinctive culture over the last ten years. These ficus trees are a part of our local landscape, and are important to the asthetic of downtown Santa Monica.
As a born and raised Santa Monican, I urge the city council to act in the interests of the RESIDENTS, as well as the retailers. |
| 525 | Cleia | Save those trees! |
| 526 | Paul Davis | When I think of some of the things I like about Santa Monica, the Ficus trees always come to mind. It would be unconscionable for the City of Santa Monica to remove such wonderful landmarks. |

| 532 | Susanna | PLEASE SAVE THE LARGE-CANOPY FICUS TREES IN SANTA MONICA!!! Their conditions are okay and healthy. And they are the symbol of Santa Monica!!! Please DON'T remove them!!! |
| 533 | Lisa Kuhn | Thank you for all the work you are doing! We were at the march on 4/22. Though I now live in Washington state, I went to high school in Santa Monica and love the trees on 2nd and 4th Streets. Thank you. |

| 535 | Sergio Monteiro | I oppose the removal of the trees from downtown Santa Monica. It is wrong to put the interests of stores above the interests of people. |
| 536 | Anonymous | I am very much against chopping down the ficus trees. For that matter, I have heard that there are plans to cut down many of the carob trees in Santa MOnica. These big, old , beautiful tress provide O2 and help against global warming... why would the very "green" city of Santa Monica want to tear these down. Cutting these trees down is sinful on many accounts. Thanks. |
| 537 | Anonymous | this is an atrocity! What moron decided to go ahead with the senseless butchering and murdering of our beautiful trees without asking the residents and business's opinions and get our say so first? too many tree nazis on the SM City Council! SM is turning into another concrete jungle-how dare they! |
| 538 | Johanna Scott | |
| 539 | Liz Hervatic | Please save these beautiful beings! I walk by these trees every day. They are healthy and provide shade, oxygen, beauty, and life to our neighborhood. |

| 547 | sharon | sure save those trees!!! i think it would hurt the over all aesthetic that is now perfect and is creating the right momentum in improving the overall look of the city, which is improving the attractiveness to hang out and shop! |
| 548 | Pamela King | Please save the trees, it takes many years and then you don't always the same look, why destroy
beauty? |
