I wholeheartedly support those who are fighting against the demoilition of the Beach Huts and thank them for the attempts they are making to ensure that future generations will be able to enjoy the Hut experience.Flag

Name: Michelle Engelbrecht on Dec 18, 2006Comments: I was shocked when a colleague told me about what is going on at Swalecliffe. Being South African I have an outsider's appreciation for the uniqueness of beach huts as part of british culture, and i think it would be really sad to destroy something so charming, pretty and traditional.Flag

Name: Maureen Gallagher on Jan 12, 2007Comments: My friend and I co-own a chalet. We both lead hectic lives and the chalet has been a haven. I feel my blook pressure stabilising as soon as I leave the main road to the site! My doctor couldn't prescribe anything that could relieve stress more. My family and friends adore it, the peace and quiet, it's position and the friendliness of the other chalet users/owners. It is, of course, an attractive and prime site - I do hope greed and profits do not get in the way of heritage and happiness.Flag

Name: Dot Blayer on Jan 15, 2007Comments: My sister has one of these huts and we have all spent many a happy time there with our families. Why should the big money win yet again. Health & Safety issues - what a joke! Money is the only thing that matters to Cinque Ports Leisure - no one cares about the chalet owners whose health will suffer far more because they are losing their escape - their little piece of heaven!Flag
