Name: Anonymous on Nov 12, 2006Comments: I have seen these beautiful chalets and am disgusted to hear of the proposal to demolish these. Why do people have to spoil that particular part of the coast - it can only be money inspired. Greedy speculators packing in more people per acre.Flag

Name: Patricia Miller on Nov 13, 2006Comments: Why does progress mean having to level these unique little chalets that people have enjoyed so many memories over the years. We need to preserve them. Don't destroy them for a caravan park. What are you thinkingFlag

Name: Anna Kerr on Nov 15, 2006Comments: These are wonderful chalets - reminiscent of a more innocent English seaside past - lovingly tended by their owners - individual in their character - essentially social in their grouping and organisation. They are now under threat by the site owners, Cinque Ports. Please help us to save them.Flag

Name: Maria Maloney on Nov 15, 2006Comments: Please don't allow these unique and individual chalets to be destroyed. They are cherished by their owners and are an inspiration to creative individuals who dwell there; some for as much as eight months of the year. somewhere they can stamp their owner character and use their space to create. A museum of true multiculture and classes.Flag

Name: Ann Heyno on Nov 15, 2006Comments: These chalets are unique and bring a great deal of happiness to very many people. It would be terrible if they were demolished to be replaced by standard, modern caravans. They are also of historic interest and part of our heritage.Flag

Name: Regan Maloney on Nov 15, 2006Comments: The chalet has been a place where I've spent time with my family and friends over the last 9 years. I would be devestated to see it torn down and replaced with caravan looking chalets.Flag

Name: Abby Kerr on Nov 15, 2006Comments: I have been staying at my Mum's chalet D11 for the past seven years since she had cancer. I am now also recovering from an operation to remove a large tumour and staying at the chalet this summer was the best medicine I could get. Please don't take away our chalets. I want my three year old daughter to have the opportunity to enjoy it too.Flag

Name: Michelle Paton on Nov 20, 2006Comments: My chalet has been of great enjoyment to myself , my immediate family and extended family and friends. The fact that a Private equity company has decided to update the site is appaling. These chalets have been in some families for years. The chalets are enviromentaly friendly and very popular. Please stop this large company from destorying a beautifull sea side area and making it into a hideous eyesore.Flag

Please leave them as they are - a wonderful 'living museum' of the heady seaside days gone by - they would be much missed & it would be a crime to destroy something so important, both from the social history & architectural point of viewFlag
