The discos keep kids off the streets and without them on a friday night, there will no doubt be trouble all across the city from now on. There surely must be other ways such as partial closure to cut costs rather than depriving the city from this one and only facility!! |

| 213 | Colin Baxter | If it is going to take the council 18 months to manage the refurbishment work then they are obviously not capable of managing anything at all (which I think they have already demonstrated).
Any person with business skills will tell you refurbishment work should be fully planned, prepared and ready to go before taking the facility out of service. Being familiar with the scope I would suggest that if managed properly there should be no longer than a 4 week window when the facility requires to be out of service. Everything the council are saying regarding closure time is either:- 1. A smokescreen to close the facility to try and save money due to abysmal cost management throughout the city or 2. Abysmal project management. Maybe they could enlighten us to which it is?. Please don't tell lies and then maybe you will get some support & help. |
