| 151 | Anonymous | Disgusting behaviour by Aberdeen City Council. |
| 152 | Shona MacLean | PLEASE don't close our rink, it is so important for the skaters and their coaches to be able to continue to train. Refurbish one part at a time, and if they complain tell them it's either this or close it! |
| 153 | Julie Morrice | DONT DO IT, THERE IS NOT ENOUGH FOR KIDS TO DO AS IT IS...... |
| 154 | Sally Bruce | Why are the council shutting down the ice rink it's so stupid as ice skating is one of the many few activities that us kids can enjoy also it is a form of exercise which means children will be getting more over weight if it closed, and the council are always getting on to kids for hanging around the streets, well skating at the Linx Ice Skating Arena is a great activity where kids can hang out with there friends and have fun and a few laughs while losing weight. Also Ice Skating is a great hobby that kids and adults can take up and get better at, then maybe win a few competitions. Plus the ice hockey team and figure skaters will have to travel out to Dundee if they want on ice to practice. Also when I go skating the ice rink is always very busy with lots of parties and just people wanting to go skating
So PLEASE keep the ice rink open as normal.
PLEASE do it for the very so hopeful kids and adults!!!! |
| 155 | Brenda Munro | This is a ludicrous decision. There are too many children who will suffer with this closure, I will do anything to save this rink |
| 156 | Kim McDonald | |
| 157 | Liz Cameron | Do not close our ice rink. The council's running of the rink has been totally inept. Why should the people of Aberdeen sufer for their incompetance !!! ? |

| 164 | vicki milne | my daughter likes to go to the ice rink on Friday nights with her pals, it keeps them out of trouble and they enjoy themselves and are not hanging around parks etc |

| 168 | Nancy McDonald | I think the Ice Rink is an important leisure facility and tourist attraction for a thriving oil and tourist city like Aberdeen to keep. It seems ridiculous that we cannot afford to keep it open. An extra levy on higher rate council tax even? |
| 169 | Rachel McFarlane | What is with Aberdeen council? Oil rich city and still you have no money?
Spend a little less time accepting building proposals from Stewart Milne and more concentration on what residents need |
| 170 | Bill Harcus | It took long enough to get a new ice rink near the city centre, so let's keep it now that we have it. |
| 171 | Abi McRobbie | |
| 172 | Fiona Boyne | There is little enough for the youth of today to do - and it is terrible that the ones that are interested in a sport - USING THE ONLY ICE RINK IN ABERDEEN - are not now going to be able to do this any more. Aberdeen Council's proposal is so short-sighted and deprives Aberdeen of a much used and much needed facility. |
| 173 | Anonymous | Save the ice rink |

| 176 | Ben Kerridge | |
| 177 | Nikki Robinson | While investment in England and Wales is being put in to sport for the Olympics the same does not seem to be a consideration here! Give sport a sporting chance - poor financial management in other areas in not a good enough excuse to close this and other important sports and liesure resources! |
| 178 | michael rae | y the hell do u want to close it down its ace !!!! fun alot of tourists cm 2 sk8n!!!!!!
keep the rink open |
| 179 | Michaela Wregg | I think its shocking to close such a valuable recreational building for use by children. Shortly there will be nothing for children to do. |
| 180 | Hayley Jamieson | They should keep the rink as it is, to me it doesnt need refurbished but if they do close it then to train people will have to drive all the way to Dundee to get tothe nearest ice-skating rink.So plz keep it open!! |
| 181 | Chris Parker | Keep Aberdeen Ice Rink open and running during the refurbishment period. Ice skating facilities throughout Scotland and the wider UK are gradually being wittled away, this trend should be resisted if we are to seriously preserve the future of the sport in the UK. We cannot afford to loose another ice rink at Aberdeen. |

| 184 | Debbie Brodie | I am appalled at the council's decision to close the rink. My 9 year old daughter has been a member of the Linx club for over 3 years, she is broken hearted about the closure. We try to encourage our children to take up hobbies to keep them off the streets and to keep them healthy and fit, and to stop them sitting in front of the TV and computer games, what kind of example is this to them? |
| 185 | Anonymous | Kids don't have enough to do as it is, why take away something else as well as swimming pools and other facilities!!!! Start looking at councillors expenses, fact finding trips and subsidised meals for council staff to save money. This whole exercise is nothing short of farcical. |
| 186 | Erin Simpson | |
| 187 | Nicholas Milne | |
| 188 | Elma Coutts | Come on - we need to encourage our young people to expand their horizons and for those lucky enough new experiences. Doesn't it make sense to generate as much income as you can from these things - refurbish and still stay open. We're Scots - the greatest inventors, pioneers etc. You're letting everyone down |
| 189 | Jane Sim | |
| 190 | Glen | This is Stupid.
Why should it close when thousands of people use it weekly.. :O:(

| 197 | Linda Park | How stupid there is not much activities for children in Aberdeen and now they want to take this away. Maybe if they stopped spending the money on themselves (the council bosses wages!!!) and started thinking sensibly rather than thinking of there own personnel expensises and trips they could have!!!! |
