Its Not The Fact That Children Are Getting Obese, Children Get Bored Without Things Like Swimming & Ice Skating And To Be Quite Honest Its Not Fair.. The Council Are ALWAYS Complaining About Graffiti & Vandelisum. Well If You Didnt Shut Down Place Like Ice Skating Then That Wouldnt Be A Bother, Its Not Only Children That The Council Have Now Made Unhappy Aswell. Some People Have Put Skating As There Life And The Council Think Its Ok Just To Shut It Down.. This Is Peoples Hobbies And Lifes And There Just Wrecking It! SOmething Has To Be Done Soon, ANd I Think The Protest Is The Best Thing To Do Help Save The Ice Rink!

I skate about every day of thee week and if the rink shuts i will not get all the practice i need for competing ! i have lots of competion during the time that the rink is ment to be shutting that i will not be able to attend if it closes !! The rink just cant close , when there are coaches that are going to loose there jobs and kids are going to bee heartbroken if they were planning there future based on ice-skating ! You cant close the rink !

61	Nathan Adam	Do Not Close the Ice Rink because the council complain that we are all getting obese and by closing one of the most popular facilities in Aberdeen they are increasing it and they will keep complaining more and more. Yes they need their money but by doing this they rip out an important part of our identity. This will also stop all our influential figure skaters from getting close-by lessons. This also keeps rates of 'yobs' down and off the street. And give the population something to do when they have nothing else to do.

66	Allan Lilly	There seems to be little regard for any of the rink users. Aberdeen has the current Scottish Synchro champions who were silver medal winners at the British Championships in 2007 as well as many talented individual skaters and other successful synchro teams. ACC seem to have no regard for the time and effort that these children have put into their training and fail to understand that many of these kids will be lost from the sport if the closure is prolonged. They also seem unable to understand that there are considerable non-fiscal benefits to be gained for the city by keeping the closure to a minimum - a case of knowing the cost but not the value.

One of the worst health records in the modern world - and what happens - they close a busy sporting venue !!! Aberdeen is supposed to be the Oil Capital of Europe - we are turning into a laughing stock.

76	Leah Hedger	i think that they shouldnt be alouyd to shut it for that amount of time and just leave us to do nothing. Thousands come ice-skating and the clubs are full. People have trained for soo soo long and have paid lots of monney for it all to be wasted. closing the rink would be Disaterous because there is no where else we can go and the council have been trying to get people to stay off the streets but they cant say that if they are goin to stop one of the sports many people do at nights which is safe and healthy. The council dont need that amount of time to refurbish it and they shouldnt be aloud to because its the ONLY ice-skating rink in aberdeen. Its just like the council shutting all thee swimming pools they wouldnt doo that so why shut the Only Skatin rink in Aberdeen. I go ice-skating Every day and my mum has paid so much money towards it. the caoches there will loose everything and even thought they are being paid off its not near enough monney for them. Thousand of people are outraged by wat has been proposed ! so Dont close it !

But how would closing down the rink do that? And what about the hokey skaters and figuire skaters that use the rink all the time? If they shut the linx ice arena the nearest one will be in Dundee. This is awful and an embarressment for the council!
