Who do thay think thay are fooling...You cant pull the wool over the eyes of the people who frequently use the rink!!!!!
Dont take this away from aberdeen but more so the kids and people who work there. |
| 6161 | Anonymous | Previous to this rink being built I attended the rink at Dyce as a teenager and it was a terrible rink - we were all delighted when the Beach rink opened and it is so very sad to think that teenagers and youngsters will miss out on this - it took us long enough to get another rink - I spent years listening to people referring to the skating at George Street. Save this and get all the youngsters off their Playstations and Wii's - no wonder out youngsters are getting obese and can't interact with people - this is important to Aberdeen! |

| 6187 | Stuart Laird | It is disgusting that the council are even contemplating closing the ice rink. In an age where anti-social behaviour among youngsters is a major problem, they will be adding to this, as the children have less to occupy them. |

In fact, I extend an invitation to you to come down on the last Saturday of the month so that you can personally explain to my four year old why he will not be able to go skating after then. |
| 6189 | Anonymous | Nobody should ever shut a rink for any reason. I have played in literally hundreds of rinks and Aberdeen is one of the best rinks I have been in. Better than some of the university ones in the US. Rinks have a unique social atmosphere that nothing else comes even close to. |

A meeting place for both there friends and excellant from the point of view of health and excercise. Regards the coaches there is talent out there and it wont be found in the future if the rink closes. |
