As a Dutch person living in Norway, it is a bit strange to notice that apparantly a council is thinking of temporarly closing ice-sport facilities for kids. We have had the same experience in Holland, were due to a fire the scating track had to close for more than a year. Due to this, only short-track was possible resulting in two of my three kids stopped scating. But, this closure was unavoidable, yours isn't! |

| 6064 | Ann.Robertson | Goverment and local councils are always complaining about kids hanging around streets yet they haven't hesitated in taking what facilities are available (for the ones who do not hang about the streets) away. the council should be looking on their own doorstep before they start closing places that are essential for the kids. We pay more tahn enough council tax (what are the council doing with this) because its certainly not being put back into the community. |
