SAVE THE LINX ICE ARENA, ABERDEEN

The petition

PLEASE HELP US SAVE OUR ICE RINK. THE COUNCIL IS PLANNING ON CLOSING THE DOORS FROM THE 31ST MARCH 2008. THEY ARE TRYING TO SAY THAT IT WILL TAKE 18 MONTHS TO REFURBISH ONE OF THE BEST FACILITIES IN SCOTLAND. DONT LET THEM RUIN THE CAREERS OF THE STAFF, COACHES AND MOST OF ALL SOME OF THE BEST TALENT IN SCOTLAND. REFURBISHMENT CAN SURELY BE DONE WHILE RUNNING THE FACILITY. AND CLOSURE SHOULD BE KEPT TO A MINIMUM. SHOW THE COUNCIL THAT WE WILL STICK TOGETHER AND KEEP OUR ONLY ICE RINK OPEN FOR ALL KIDS AND ADULTS TO USE AND TRAIN IN.
