Store bosses say they want to move to Ashton Moss, but outraged locals have hit back, saying they do not want to travel out of town to do their high street shopping. If the Ashton Moss planning permission is denied, bosses say the town centre store will close anyway. But having been a presence in Ashton town centre for 40 years, locals are not prepared to accept the news without a fight! Ashton town centre cannot afford to lose another large store, having already said goodbye to several major retail chains over recent years.
