Name: Tom Welch on Feb 27, 2009Comments: I find the present DNR rules totally unsatisfactory. My rights as a taxpayer have been severely infringed upon. This is my land and land that I have paid for and I also pay the wages of the so called caretakers of this property that I am not being allowed to use to take my Grand daughters metal detecting on.Flag

Name: Thomas E. Porch Jr on Feb 28, 2009Comments: I respectfully ask that you reconsider the ban on all metal detecting because of a few rule breakers. We as a group of responsible citizens share your concern for preservation of relics and such, and we also do our best to govern ouselves where possible. We strongly urge all fellow detectorists to respect all property, public and private and feel that this rule is too harsh, just to stop a few lawbreakers. Would you stop all driving, just because some drivers were speeding PUNISH THE GUILTY Thomas E Porch JrFlag

Name: Wayne E. Wildt on Feb 28, 2009Comments: Again we in Wisconsin have suffered a setback in our hobby of metal detecting. It seems to me that select few in this state have singled us out to be detrimental to the environment and that other people feel that something is taken away from them personally by us finding things that might belong to them in an historical aspect.Flag
