Comments: Interesting to see how using sustainable materials is easer and more cost effective than traditional or 'alternatives' materials, yet we never seem to take the path of least resistance? Brad your guitars are up there with the finest, and I have to say the most beautiful sounding guitars I have ever recorded!

Comments: SIrs: Your countrymen produced this wonderful guitar I that my family are enjoying so much - thank you! The wood it's made from is locally grown. Your timber industry is benefiting from the harvest. The various users of those woods employ even more people, and export is very good for any country's economy, especially during this global economic mess we are in. How can Australia benefit from destroying a job-creating, renewable resource such as the bunya? I sincerely hope you do not raise the bunya plantations. Yours, Carl Bern

Comments: I have a couple of C.Clarke guitars,I find the quality of tone to be of a very fine and interesting nature,I am sure that in time Bunya will catch on. I have played around with different pickups and electronic devices with solid body and semi-hollow guitars and believe bunya to be a superior tone wood. It will catch on. Perhaps plantation owners need to represent their product to some more well known manufacturers. If you think that this idea has merit and if you need someone to represent this fine product then Im available. Please contact me on this e-mail address

Comments: It is vital to reserve sustainable plantations of select timbers for the exclusive use of Guitar manufacturers. Old growth rare AAA grade timbers are a beautiful, desirable, though unfortunately - highly unsustainable part of Guitar building history. This country's guitar making industry is respected by musicians worldwide & should be fostered not condemned by government. Governments need to start considering the negative effect that "economic growth at any cost" is having on the well-being & culture of this country's people & the environment that allows us all life. Economy over humanity "at any cost" is not going to end well for anyone. These politicians could never fully comprehend the true passion for music that many people have, or what it is to be a musician, to create, appreciate & require fine instruments with true craftsmanship.

Comments: Native timbers in this country are under-valued for the beautiful properties they exhibit. Bunya is an exquisite timber for the soundboards of stringed instruments amongst it's other uses. Bunya plantation forests should be expanded not reduced in size.
