The Heart Beach was opened in July 2009 as part of managing director Steve Hammon’s business plan to create a fun family day out for the people of Coventry and Warwickshire. Thousands of families and schools from across the region and further afield have visited England’s most central beach in Fillongley near Coventry over the last 12 months to enjoy making sandcastles, watch the Punch and Judy show and have a paddle in the lake. North Warwickshire Borough Council now wants to close the beach and other amenities at the site due to planning issues. This petition is a matter of urgency because this is threatening the livelihood of 60 local people who work at the venue as well as the future of the entire business on the multi-use site since we also hold team building days out which are also under threat due to the council’s environmental concerns. To express support for our campaign please join sign our petition. Check out our website at www.heartpark.co.uk for a detailed outline of the activities that we offer. To the planning department of North Warwickshire Borough Council: We, the undersigned, call on North Warwickshire Borough Council to allow the Heart Beach to continue trading to allow staff to retain the excellent facilities that are enjoyed by families and school children on a daily basis and bring investment into the region.
