Many of you are like me and have attended the functions at the fairgrounds for years, and therefore, you may know that a resident of Rancho Brazil Ln. has headed up a "coalition" against the fair– grounds and it's current hosting of a number of traditional events. These are revenue generating events that help the fairgrounds maintain its existence and cover basic operating costs. Rancho Brazil neighbor argument that these events are a bother to the surrounding neighbors and should be stopped. Briefly, this neighbor apparently purchased a historical or classic Victorian house and then had it moved to a location behind the fairgrounds about 9 years ago. He has since begun to complain about the “nuisance” some of the events held at the Fairgrounds. He recently obtained the counsel of attorney Gary Patton and is threatening to sue the fairgrounds for a variety of reasons, including environmental concerns. In late February, Governor Brown...
