Comments: The "wrap-around" is only a facade. It contributes nothing and impinges on our quality of life!

Comments: For longtime resident artists, losing light and air is taking away their ability to work as well as their quality of life. The artists and all people who have lived in this building, in this area, before it was trendy - who came here to set up studios and have workspace and form their own community - deserve to have that living and working space be protected. I support the people of 20 Bond Street in standing up to this development.

Comments: We at Friends of NOHO have been working for the landmarks designation of NOHO for almost ten years. The proposed buildings demonstartes the urgency of the need of completing the landmarks designation.

Comments: Much as I respect Chuck Close and his artistry, I feel the work and life-style needs of his neighbors at 20 Bond Street are of equal concern because they are equally threatened by the development plans of Olmstead Properties. What seems intrinsically unfair is that Olmstead Properties is guilty of parasitism. A major lure of these new apartments for newcomers will be the NoHo downtown ambience, the creative and artistic atmosphere that people like Chuck Close and many others have generated and continue to generate by their presence in the area. The cobble-stones, the cast iron facades, the funky shops and restaurants also seem to say

Comments: for many years NYC publications have heralded Bond Street and NOHO as an area of wide streets and exceptional sky and light. Olmstead's and other proposals are threatening the uniqueness of the area in a city that has precious few of them.

Comments: As an artist myself, and the daughter of an architect I implore you to preserve what little remains of artists' space, light and working environments in NoHo. Surely preserving the integrity of all the working studios at 20 Bond Street is more valuable than a 6 1/2 foot wrap around architectural detail!
