| 4701 | Hongrui Cai | German sheppards aren't dangerous dogs, they're one of the smartest, most tamed dog species. Rolo should be released. Ths is not fair for the dog, and very unhealthy to keep the dog away from the owner for this long. |

| 4703 | kimberly furtsch | i have a german shepherd named chucky and he too barks and plays rough but he would never hurt anyone! |
| 4704 | Kendell Ellington | ROLO FREED!!!! |
| 4705 | Peggy King | Any Judge that would order a dog to death for a scratch should reevaluate his position as a judge. I've never heard of such a thing and I pray the judge will do the right thing and let Rolo live as he deserves too. |

| 4707 | Dove Shientag-Betts | While we can not allow any animal to exhibit aggressive behavior, the penalty that Rolo, who never harmed another being, is excessive.
The truth is any animal can bite. The smallest to the largest of dogs, and other animals, can act out of character.
The punishment is excessive and does not fit the act. If an animal has any aggressive tendencies, which is the nature of all animals, it can be modified, in most instances through behavioral training.
For many of us, our animals are our "kids", and unless an animal is considered to be mentally deficient and dangerous, one must consider alternatives to euthanizing an animal.
Shall we euthanize all animals?...as they have the potential to exhibit such behavior. Perhaps, we should also euthanize all human animals who exhibit, oro have the potential, to exhibit aggressive behavior.
In euthanzing a family companion, such as Rolo, for one incident, you set the stage for others coming forward with tales of aggression, or what may be perceived as aggression.
It is unthinkable that Role is being kept in less than human circumstances, without the love and companionship of his owner, who, certainly, will do everything, should the court, in its wisdom and compassion, release him back to her, and take the necessary measures, ie training to prevent a reoccurence.
This was an isolated incident, and should be treated as such. The injury inflicted was merely a scratch. Perhaps, Rollo thought his owner was in danger and was defending her. Whatever the case, the severity of the sentence does not fit the act.
This is a travesty of justice. Courts that function without common sense and compassion undermine the justice system. |

| 4709 | Kim Hodgdon | Free Rolo!! This first time offender should be free to be with his family. Have it ordered that he is required to attend lengthy obedience classes but let him go home! |

| 4711 | Cindy Davis | I am an animal lover and I wish I could just take Rolo out of jail and save him. I love what you are trying to do. Animals have no voice, you are a wonder Mom. I hope the judge and the jury people can sleep at night knowing what they have done to this poor innocent dog. I use to live in Colorado and I am so glad I moved. What a messed up State you live in. Those judges and jurers should all go to hell.
God bless you and what you are trying to do for Rolo that beautiful dog. |
| 4712 | Lori Rohn | I am SO glad his life was spared, and I know his owner loves him so much she will do whatever it takes to keep him with her. Now she should move to a more dog friendly place! Yay Rolodog! |
| 4713 | mariah | this dog seemed to just be spooked. i have 3 three german shepards and they protective.he was just protecting his owner. he is a very cute boy! and i hope they free him! |
| 4714 | Robert Allen | This dog is NOT a threat to anyone -we should be questioning the hysteria of the neighbors and the flawed reasoning of the prosecutor. |
| 4715 | Anonymous | I am so happy that my prayers have been answered

Laura - I applaud u for fighting it thru. Not many people would do what u have for a dog. But be careful in the future.Rolo's is a hard earned life. |

| 4725 | Li-Anne | Thank you, your Honor, for your fair and just sentence. Thank you for allowing Rolo to go home to his family and setting reasonable and practical mandates to ensure the public safety and peace as well as the wellbeing of the dog and his owner. Thank you for upholding reason and logic. |

| 4732 | Jennifer Fife | Many Congratulations to Laura and Rolo!!!!!
I would also like to thank Judge Michael Graber for his decision. Also thanks to certified dog trainer Ted Terroux. My Doberman puppy received training at Terroux and everyone was fabulous there! Laura, so happy to hear the good news and I still think we should have a 'ROLO Parade'!!! Take care. Jenn |
| 4733 | Anonymous | As an owner of 3 Dobermans, I find this to be highly disgusting. I am constantly crossing paths with the general public who are UNEDUCATED about what behavior is appropriate while being in the company of dogs. Trust me if German Sheps were so "vicious", they would have been put on the BSL by now. Get some common sense people. |
| 4734 | Li-Anne | Thank you Joe Lazzara, for taking on Rolo's case pro bono. You were going up against a city attorney who had more resources and time at his disposal for this case. Thank you, Ted Terroux, for working with Rolo and guiding Laura and continuing to do so. |
| 4735 | Donna Petford | Keep fighting the good fight!!!! Our thoughts and prayers are with you, Rolo, and your family. --Sincerely, the Petfords, and CocoBear (our GSD) |
| 4736 | Monika Courtney | All dog owners were given a great opportunity to learn how little it takes to get into big trouble. The hell that Laura had to live thru, and Rolo - many cannot imagine. What can come of this, is a raised awareness to the general public, a willingness to better understand the canine mind and mostly, how you need to protect your dog from creative minds.
This very issue can not go away - for the sake of dogs we can keep it alive and press for changes in the law... changes that will ensure that dogs will not be used so easily as pawns such as Rolo was.
I can only encourage all dog people to look out and speak up - for the sake of those who cannot. Rolo is one lucky dog - he has Laura who loves him, and he had the support from those in our communities who still have common sense. And for that I am thankful.
I hope no dog has to suffer again at the hands of a system that desperately needs revision. Rolo's story is one that no one should ever forget - he can't tell it - but you can !!! |
| 4737 | Kaylene Thompson | Best of luck to you and Rolo! |

| 4740 | Gail | Horray for Laura and Rolo. There are too many cruel people in this world that have nothing better to do than to make mountains out of mole hills! To say she is afraid for the city of Arvada is a joke- I hope she hasn't moved in to our neighborhood!!! |
| 4741 | Whisperette Van | |
| 4742 | Anonymous | Congrats to Laura and her dog. Arvada's prosecutor needs to move on out of town. Justice was not swift, and very expensive, but did prevail. I don't think you can safely own a dog in this town but feel the final judgement was somewhat reasonable. |
| 4743 | Rich Wilson | Laura, Keep up the good fight..!!! You should be invited to run for city council..!!! We (animal lovers) need more folks like you out there..!!! |
| 4744 | Jerry | Rolo for President..... |
| 4745 | Anonymous | Goodluck. I'll be thinking of you in your fight to save your beautiful boy Rolo. |
| 4746 | Karen | I am happy that common sense prevailed in this case. The citizens of Arvada need to do something about the ordinance that allowed Rolo to be labeled a dangerous dog. In my opinion, it is the plaintiff in this case that needs training, not the dog. She also might benefit from a bottle of Prozac. |
| 4747 | Lindsay Mclennan | hope u all the best with gettin your dog home soon |
| 4748 | Meagan | |
| 4749 | Marie Messina | I am so incredibly happy Rolo is going home. Thank god the judge realized that putting him down would have been a horrible injustice. Now he can go home to the owner who obviously loves him so, and they can both heal from the ordeal they have both been put through.
As for the plaintiff and the others who testified on her behalf, I sympathize with your concerns over the minor injury sustained, but I am very relieved that this animal, who had never hurt anyone else and whom I sincerely believe did not intend to injure the plaintiff, is not going to be unjustly put to death to placate you.
Go home, Rolo, and have a wonderful life with Ms. Hagan. |
| 4750 | Lucy Ostrom-Spiewak | Dogs never have a chance to speak up. So if someone has a problem with dogs they are always going to make it look like a bite no matter what. Go
ROLO!!!!!!!!!!! |
