| 4651 | LESLIE A. BROWN | I AM HEART BROKEN FOR YOU AND ROLO. I MYSELF HAVE GERMAN SHEPARDS, AND MINE ARE AS SWEET AS ROLO. THEY HOWEVER ARE BIG AND AT TIMES BOISTEROUS! IT IS THE NATURE OF THE BREED. LOVING, PLAYFUL AND PROTECTIVE. I HAVE HAD MANY BRUISES, SCRAPES FROM CLAWS DOWN A LEG ECT. JUST FROM MY DOGS "PLAYING" WITH ME. THE WOMAN SEEMS A BIT HIGH STRUNG AND WITH OTHER MOTVES INVOLVED, MOST APPARANT. NOW I DO AGREE THAT ALL DOGS MUST BE ON LEASHES AT ALL TIMES, (NOT JUST THE BIG DOGS!) BUT IT IS OBVIOUS THAT ROLO GOT OUT PRIOR TO BE HOOKED UP, AND SINCE NOTHING HAS EVER HAPPEN WITH HIM BEFORE, THIS IS WAY, WAY TOO HARSH! I WAS BITTEN TWICE BY TWO LITTLE DOGS THAT ARE ALWAYS WALKED WITHOUT LEASHES AND LET ME TELL YOU THEIR BITES WERE THRU THE SKIN, DREW BLOOD AND REQUIRED ME TO TAKE A DAY OFF FROM WORK! MY GOD, I WAS VERY UPSET THAT I HAD GOT BITTEN BY BOTH HER AT LARGE DOGS, BUT I SAW THAT THEY HAD CURRENT RABIES TAGS ECT AND I DO,( AS MOST OF US SHOULD ) KNOW HOW TO CLEAN OUT A WOUND, APPLY AN ANTIBIOTIC AND A BANDAID! IF ONLY YOU WOULD HAVE HAD A SENSIBLE PERSON IN YOUR SITUATION; THINGS MOST ASSURADLY WOULD HAVE BEEN DIFFERENT. I WILL PRAY THAT SOME HOW ROLO WILL GET OUT OF THIS. HE LOOKS TO BE AS SWEET AS HIS NAME. I WISH I COULD HELP YOU. BUT, THIS IS SO UNFAIR, I DO NOT EVEN KNOW WHERE TO START. SINCERELY YOURS |

| 4653 | Mike Hayes | Your in our thoughts, we hope Rolo comes through this ok. |
| 4654 | Anonymous | Rolo is more than a dog he is part of tyour family and shouldn't be hurt for being a dog. Good luck! |

| 4657 | Rudy | It's the owner. Large dogs like that one HAVE to be restrained at all times or kept with a leash. It the animal causes any harm to a person , the owner of the animal is liable. IT IS EVEN ON THE BIBLE. You dont neet to read it, just use your common sense. People love their pets, I can understand that, but you have to be a responsible owner. It is not the owners flesh that will get bitten off by an animal, it is an inocent or unsupecting victim.
So.. Punish the dog severly for causing harm to a human being and make the owner repsible for everyghing that happens. It makes sense. Next time it happens, it could be a young child who can die or have to bear scars for life.
Sorry about the dog- and the victim. |

| 4660 | Guadalupe | PLEASE DON'T KILL ROLO IT IS NOT HIS FAULT, is better than they send it to training |

| 4662 | KATHY CREWS | |
| 4663 | Suzy Hermes | I don't think Rolo should be euthanized. If the judge wants to have him go to obedience that would be good
but not kill him especially since it was his first sentence & he could have really hurt that woman if he really wanted to. |
| 4664 | rudy is an idiot | Shut up Rudy. |
| 4665 | Michael Grant | No way a dog should be put down for a simple bite. The lady is taking it way to far. It is redicoulous that they would spend tax payers money on this. The lady needs to get a life |
| 4666 | jessica engler | |
| 4667 | Susan Meade | This is totally unfair and inhumane treatment of both the owner and the dog. I am sure you can find justice in another way. Please help Rolo! |
| 4668 | DENISE M. HEELAN | Well, first... Rudy is not an idiot. He's speaking his opinion and it is not one shared by others signing the petition. Rudy - one doesn't have to even like dogs to know that the punishment is too severe. There has been plenty of punishment already and now it is time for the courts to realize that STUBBORNESS IS NOT STRENTGH. The owner is responsible and she IS being held accountable... but DEATH is not the answer. I'm sorry. Free the dog, return it to its owner and place strict restrictions on her... or give the dog to us and we'll work with him until she can move out of State..and she SHOULD move out of that State. |

| 4671 | Lilly Routledge | If a GDS wanted to actually harm someone the "victim" would not survive. Rolo is not guilty of being a vicious dog, this is a complete misunderstanding. People who uphold the law should understand the nature of the dog. Not all GSDs are vicious, my GSD is around all four of my children. Ranging from ages 2 - 14, and we have never had to worry. GSDs are wonderful family members. You and Rolo have my family's support and prayers. I hope some one comes to their senses and see's what really happen, and with that change the law. |
| 4672 | Jenna Tails | |
| 4673 | Renay | I hope all works out for the best for you and Rolo, and you get to bring him home with you soon |
| 4674 | Ryan Basile | I have had German Shepards in the past and these are the smartest, most loving dogs on earth. But they are also very protective of their owners. Always on alert and always working for their owners. This is one beautiful dog and it would upset me to see this dog put to sleep for just being a loyal companion. Ryan Basile Charlottesville, VA |

| 4678 | jerry | Dear Judge-Please read about the German Shepherd breed. They are in no way a viscious animal. Rolo does not deserve death. He may require more training but death should not be a consideration. Again please research the breed. |
| 4679 | Annie Shoger | Please give Rolo back to his family. He does not deserve to be euthanized nor kept in a kennel. Having only a scratch which was determined by parametics and animal control, is not the same as being viciously attached. Obviously, the woman is scared of dogs and is taking this situation way too far. Let Rolo be set free and allowed to go home with his family. |
| 4680 | cindy black | The Dog needs to be with a trainer for a period of time then the owner needs to build a fence for him. She loves the dog so she needs to make sure he is never able to get out with out her being with him. Besides he could get run over without the proper fence. |

| 4684 | Stephen | People get lesser sentences for first time offenses. |
| 4685 | Diane & Paul Griffin | Please do NOT kill this dog. Keeping him locked up in that cage & away from the people he loves is punishment enough. He deserves to be back home with his family. |

| 4690 | marisa petrillo | We want you to know that this is the cruelest and crushing story we have heard, we have supported you from the start .Rolo is so beautiful our thoughts and prayers are with you . Everybody that is involved in wanting harm to Rolo should be ashamed to even call themselves humans, not even the crimanals out in our society get this sickening punishment. |

| 4692 | Aubrey | Next time your damn kids push me in the supermarket, or throw a ball at my head while playing –because that’s their “instinct” --, how about I just lock them away for 6 months while they wait to be “put-down”? Or maybe I’ll walk my dogs, leash in one hand, mace in the other, so I can be prepared for all the annoying brats in the neighborhood who haven’t been taught to behave. How dare you propose that your kids existence is more deserved than my dogs. By the way, if a German Shepard wanted to do harm there would be no ifs-ands-or-buts about whether or not harm was actually inflicted! Grow up people, and go back to real societal issues, like watching all the sex offenders in your community and petitioning the courts to put them down!
Shame on Colorado!!! May 1,000 curses befall Kethy Hardin's home and all those involved in the prosecution!!! |
| 4693 | Anonymous | This is a very dangerous precedent-- if all dogs making mistakes,,were to be put down- we'd have few dogs left. |
| 4694 | Anonymous | Dogs deserve 2nd chances, too. German Shepard's, in particular bond very closely with there people and being incarcerated for months is inhumane. |
| 4695 | Samantha | |
| 4696 | Debbie Abbenante | I have been a dog trainer for over thirty years and have owned German Shepherds. If this dog was considered a dangerous dog, he would of done a lot more damage to the lady he allegedly bit.
Let his owner have him back, put her and the dog through obedience training classes and put restrictions on the owner as far as the dog can not go outside without a leash.
Don't destroy this dog because of one incident. |

| 4699 | Jannis Machen | If Rolo were viscious, that neighbor would have been in the hospital or worse. This woman apparently has issues that she had to scream when she saw a dog coming towards her and then gather her friends to support her to kill another neighbor's "family member". Where is the justice when a dog became agitated by a screaming woman but never hurt her? Why is this woman so full of hate she wants a dog to die? |
| 4700 | Jarrel Damon | just checked out the rocky mountain news!

this is a GREAT victory for dogs everywhere - and i am so happy that the judge ruled Rolo be returned to Laura. |
